JOB 2:10 "... SHALL WE ACCEPT THE GOOD FROM GOD AND NOT THE BAD?"
ONE family TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN ANY WAY POSSIBLE.
Part 2...
There comes the time when a child matures enough to understand the rules set by the parents and why they were put in place. We understand these rules and boundaries were set for our protection and overall good. With this new knowledge there is often the feeling of guilt from past mistakes and conflicts with parents. I find this much the same with our relationship with God. See before we become a follower of Christ we repeatedly spit in the face of God. We fight against God and do not understand the limits He has set on us. We push directly against God, and other times we want to get as close as we can to the boundary God has set for us. We spend most of our lives living in direct opposition to God. As a result after we choose to make ourselves slaves to God there are often the feelings of guilt and remorse, which is necessary to accept Christ, but this is not meant to stay with us. And this is where God sends a new relationship into your life… Understanding God’s forgiving, unfailing love can be one of the hardest things for followers to grasp, but God gives us relationships to help. It all started with Adam. God saw the need to give him someone to walk through life with. God saw that Adam needed a partner to grow closer to God, and He created Eve. God gave Adam a partner who would continue to love him and stay beside him for the rest of his life. Even when he did something stupid, we can admit all men will do something incredibly stupid and repeat it more than one time, she stayed with right there with him. A never failing, consistent, choice to love him. See the beautiful institution of marriage that God set up with Adam and Eve. There are no rules set up by one for the other not to cross, it’s a partnership. Don’t take me wrong, this is not saying we are no longer tied to God’s boundaries. He is trying to show what unconditional and never ending love looks like; to put this love in flesh. Marriage is not for us to only be happy, but everything is to bring us closer to God. And experiencing a person who will actually love you through everything is a true blessing, one that can only be given… by God.
