2 Samuel: Readings and the Thoughts that followed

2 Samuel 7:8 ~ "Now, therefore, thus you shall say to my servant David, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, I took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, that you should be prince over my people Israel."
  • ​God doesn't have limits on what He is able to do.  Throughout the Bible He chooses to use people who, to my eye, seem unfit for the task at hand.
  • But, God helps the people He chooses.  He didn't let them fall on their face, but gave them the ability to everything the task required of them.
  • Those who seemed the "least" fit for His purposes might actually have been the most fit.  They knew the only way they could accomplish the task would be through God's power, not their own. 12/18/17
