Joel: Readings and the Thoughts that followed
Joel 2:12-13a ~ “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning; 13 and rend your hearts and not your garments.”
- God looks and considers our inner most being, not our appearance. There is no hiding or being half in agreement with Him. He knows everything, and therefore we can hide nothing.
- God does not care about our outward expressions of religion nearly as much as the condition of our heart. Before we ever consider letting others see our repentance or expression of faith, we should be certain our heart was the most dramatically impacted. 12/12/17
Joel 2:28 ~ "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions."
- The Holy Spirit brings power into our lives.
- Why do we rarely acknowledge Him and the work He does in us? 5/7/18
