Exodus: Readings and the Thoughts that followed

Exodus 3:14 ~ "God said to Moses, “I am who I am.”And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel: ‘I am has sent me to you.’”
  • "I AM."  Moses came from learning in pharaoh's polytheistic house while he grew up.
  • His question to God makes sense that Moses would ask essentially, "I know the sun god, god of death, and god of the Nile, but what are you the God of?"
  • God's answer was perfect.  I AM.  You fill in the blank after that, Moses.  I AM the God of everything, and everything you'll ever need.
  • HE IS! 6/17/18
Exodus 20:3~  “You shall have no other gods before me."
  • It seems so easy, but at the root of every single sin we commit is us putting something or someone above God.  If we truly kept God and our only God and none before Him, the rest of our sin problems would disappear. 12/6/17
