2 Corinthians 7:10 ~ "For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death." We can't avoid correction believers, because correction -brought about the right way- leads to closer relationships, with you, but most importantly, Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:9 ~ "As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us." The goal needs to always be repentance, because repentance brings people back to God. Retribution will push people away.

When you offer somebody correction, be sure it's out of love for them, and in order to see them change, not tear them down. When you are offered correction, consider the source and whether it is being given out of love or not.
