2 Corinthians 10:3 ~ " For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh."
2 Corinthians 10:2 ~ "I beg of you that when I am present I may not have to show boldness with such confidence as I count on showing against some who suspect us of walking according to the flesh."
2 Corinthians 9:15 ~ "Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!"
2 Corinthians 9:12 ~ "For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God."
2 Corinthians 9:7 ~ "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
2 Corinthians 8:21 ~ "for we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man."
2 Corinthians 8:16 ~ " But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same earnest care I have for you."
2 Corinthians 8:14 ~ "your abundance at the present time should supply their need, so that their abundance may supply your need, that there may be fairness.
2 Corinthians 8:11 ~ "So now finish doing it as well, so that your readiness in desiring it may be matched by your completing it out of what you have." If you are like me, the easy part is the planning and thinking through how to make something happen. But, the follow through is VITAL. You have the plan, now go "finish doing it as well."
2 Corinthians 8:9 ~ "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
2 Corinthians 8:4 ~ "begging us earnestly for the favor of taking part in the relief of the saints"
2 Corinthians 8:2 ~ "for in a severe test of affliction, their abundance of joy and their extreme poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity on their part." Giving is easy when it doesn’t hurt, but how committed are we when it’s a sacrifice?
2 Corinthians 7:16 ~ "I rejoice, because I have complete confidence in you." I hope and pray I can go into God's presence one day saying this about my children.
2 Corinthians 7:10 ~ "For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death." We can't avoid correction believers, because correction -brought about the right way- leads to closer relationships, with you, but most importantly, Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 7:9 ~ "As it is, I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because you were grieved into repenting. For you felt a godly grief, so that you suffered no loss through us." The goal needs to always be repentance, because repentance brings people back to God. Retribution will push people away.
2 Corinthians 7:4 ~ "I am acting with great boldness toward you; I have great pride in you; I am filled with comfort. In all our affliction, I am overflowing with joy." Are you a blessing and point of pride for the people who have invested in you?
2 Corinthians 7:3 ~ "I do not say this to condemn you, for I said before that you are in our hearts, to die together and to live together." When you offer somebody correction, be sure it's out of love for them, and in order to see them change, not tear them down. When you are offered correction, consider the source and whether it is being given out of love or not.
2 Corinthians 6:10 ~ "as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing everything." It cannot be about our circumstances, it must be about Him. Go through the list of what we consider "bad" and in those moments we are still to worship and praise Him.
2 Corinthians 6:2 ~ "For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation." There is no time like today to come to Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. You may not have another opportunity.
2 Corinthians 5:21 ~ "For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God."
2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 ~ THEREFORE, IF ANYONE IS IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATION. THE OLD HAS PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD, THE NEW HAS COME. WHEN YOU ACCEPTED JESUS AND LORD AND SAVIOR, A TRANSFORMATION BEGAN IN YOUR LIFE. JESUS TOOK YOU, WHO WAS A SLAVE TO SIN AND MADE YOU INTO A NEW PERSON, FREE FROM SIN, AND IN SERVICE TO HIM. THE OLD EXCUSES OF, "I'M ONLY HUMAN," AND "EVERYBODY SINS," DON'T WORK FOR US. WE ARE NEW, NO LONGER TIED TO SIN AS WE ONCE WERE, BUT CHAINED TO JESUS. YOU AND I ARE NEW. IN THE WORDS OF PAUL, WE ARE A NEW CREATION. THERE'S A SENSE OF BEING COMPLETELY MADE OVER, WITH ONLY THINGS THAT HE WANTS TO BE CARRIED OVER.
2 Corinthians 5:14-15 ~ "For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised." Jesus died and rose. In doing so He did ALL the work. He did everything that is needed for us to no longer live for our selfish lives, but instead we can live as Paul wrote, "a living sacrifice." Are you living, today, in your life as a sacrifice for God?
2 Corinthians 5:12 ~ "We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to boast about us, so that you may be able to answer those who boast about outward appearance and not about what is in the heart." Pride is at the root of every sin. If you are going to have pride, take pride in the condition of you heart, soul, and spiritual life. The body is more than a mannequin to show off material possessions and worldly status.
Welcome to the Morning Minute with Job2ten. This is a dad sharing a verse and his thoughts as if he is speaking to his sons. This project is a work in progress, so please give some feedback of how to make it better. 2 Corinthians 5:10 ~ "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil." Terrifying to the unbeliever, but it could be rewarding for the believer. We, as believers, will stand before God and give an account of the things we have done to advance His kingdom and bring Him glory.
