the last days - Day 3: The Coexistence of God's Wrath and Love

Devotional: God's wrath and love are not contradictory but complementary. True love necessitates justice, and God's wrath is a response to the evil, injustice, and suffering in the world. The cross is the ultimate demonstration of this truth. Jesus bore God's wrath on our behalf, offering us salvation and reconciliation with God. This act of love and justice should inspire us to live lives that reflect God's holiness and love. As we contemplate the cross, let us be grateful for the sacrifice Jesus made and strive to live in a way that honors Him.

Bible Verse: God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. - 2 Corinthians 5:21

Reflection Question: How does understanding the coexistence of God's wrath and love change your perspective on justice and mercy?

Quote: God, in His love replaced me with himself, satisfying his wrath, the punishment I owed by taking it upon himself. When God looks at the cross, he sees me. But when God looks at me, he sees His Son.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. Help me to understand the depth of Your love and justice. May my life be a reflection of Your holiness and love, and may I always be grateful for the salvation You have given me. Amen.
